In early December, Tri-State crews energized the association's new Bayfield-Durango 115-kilovolt transmission line after completing a $5.3 million rebuild project of the aging line in southwest Colorado, which serves member co-op La Plata Electric Association. Originally constructed in 1958, the old line was taken out of service in late July before construction began, which included the removal and replacement of 145 H-frame structures.
